But I've never really thought about

A poem for one of the most adorable ships I've ever seen ever~

Raivis/Lili is probably a crack ship for most people in every aspect (Latvia and Liechtenstein have no historical connections with each other as far as I know, though maybe them having connections in the modern day doesn't seem so far-fetched), but they're just so cute together I can't even. *w* ~~Oh, and I still have no idea which of them is the shorter one.~~ But anyhoo~

The song that I usually associate with these two is the song 'Every Little Thing She Does is Magic' by Sting. To be specific, the version that clicks with me in regards to Raivis and Lili is the one on the Symphonicities album - the instruments are all orchestra instruments in that album, and given the two's personalities it just fits them more than the original rock-ish version. And the lyrics! Oh, gosh, the lyrics just fit how I would picture their relationship at first perfectly. I can see Raivis being in the shoes of the persona of the song, with all the shyness and Cannot-Spit-It-Out-ness of it all. It's quite adorable~! _{And somewhat sad, once you think about it.} No, this isn't the first time I've used the song on them, but a-ah, I just couldn't help it; this song is their theme for me.

I did something a bit different with this poem in comparison to the rest of the other shipping poems in the collection (or rather, different to the poems I write in general) - I used a fixed rhyming scheme. I don't know, I imagine since Raivis is said to read a lot of romance novels/poems, he may be a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to any poem he'd try to write. I tried to capture the feelings of a nervous and hopeless-romantic fifteen-year-old boy into the words (so awkward that there's also a line here that's much too long for poetry! Can you spot it?), but instead I think I may have made it look too generic. x__x I'm so sorry! But all in all, I hope I did even a satisfactory job. ^^
